Aircon cleaning specialists — Townsville, North Queensland — since 2007

Why Clean Your Aircon?

Dust, mould, bacteria and algae build up inside your air conditioner. That can trigger asthma, hayfever, fatigue, sore throats and dry eyes — and Australians spend up to 90% of their time indoors. Regular cleaning keeps mites and spores to a minimum, and it keeps your home more comfortable.

Rinsing the filter isn’t enough — people don’t realise how dirty the unit really is until the covers come off. Clogged coils and blocked drains also make the aircon work harder than it should, which shows up on your power bill. A proper clean leaves it smelling fresh, running efficiently, and lasting longer.

You’d be surprised what lives in there.

A real find from a Townsville home — three tree frogs and a lot of what you don’t want to be breathing.

What We Clean

TCSNQ specialises in the cleaning of split-system and box-type wall air conditioners.

Split System Cleaning

A full clean covers the air filter, cooling coil and fins, drain assembly, fan louvres, fan housing and blower — plus the outdoor unit where needed. Runs more efficiently, cools faster, and smells fresh again.

Box & Wall Units

Most of the time we can clean everything the unit needs without removing it from the wall. If it’s badly leaking water into the room, it may need to come off — we’ll quote the removal before starting.

Pre-Sale & Pre-Move-In

Selling, renovating, or just moved in? Ask the agent to note the aircons on the “condition clauses” of the contract. A clean aircon changes the feel of a room.

Annual Maintenance

New aircons should be cleaned after the first 12 months to stop dust and mould setting in. After that, a proper clean every 1–2 years — some manufacturers now require it to keep the warranty in force.

Advice & Diagnosis

Older units have an 8–12 year working life. A yearly check can spot a low gas charge, refrigerant leak, blocked drain or worn part and often add a few years to the unit’s life. Call for a straight answer — no obligation.

Rental Properties

Landlords and property managers — we can schedule cleans between tenants or as part of routine inspections. Records available on request.

When to Book

Timing the clean matters — a note from Kevin, after 18 years of Townsville summers.

Winter — best time

June to October. Systems are off, mould from the wet season needs clearing, and you get plenty of choice on booking dates.

Spring — busy but doable

September and October. Book early — bookings ramp up as people prepare for the Christmas visitors and the heat.

Summer — flat out

November to February. Everyone’s aircon is running full blast; if yours isn’t coping, get in touch — but expect a wait.
